Step 1: Review UNM academic and scholarship options.

Step 2: Apply to UNM online and pay the $50 application fee.

Step 3: Submit your application. After we process your application, we will let you know what documents you need to submit. You should prepare to send official transcripts, graduation certificates (with translation, if necessary), and your English proficiency scores (if applicable) to our office. For information about what makes a document official, see our FAQ page.

Step 4: After we have received and processed all your documents, you will receive your admission offer decision and will be notified if you have been nominated for any scholarships.

Step 5: Accept your admission offer and submit your financial documents. To receive your I-20 and schedule your visa appointment, you will need to show funding for your first year of study. Once we have your financial information, we will issue your I-20 and admission letter, which you will need to bring to your visa appointment.

Step 6: Schedule and attend your visa appointment.

Step 7: Finalize your travel plans and secure housing. Arrive on campus!
