Moving to a foreign country for university studies is a major, life-changing decision. The University of New Mexico (UNM) is committed to welcoming and supporting international students as they adapt to living and studying in the United States.

The university is committed to ensuring that we are an accessible and equitable campus for all students. With generous financial support from the State of New Mexico, UNM keeps tuition costs affordable for all students, including international students.

Whether you are the parent, grandparent, guardian, sibling, or family friend to a future UNM student, we invite you to learn more about the dynamic educational environment and co-curricular opportunities our students enjoy while on campus. UNM is a Research 1 University that is remarkably accessible and affordable. The Global Education Office (GEO) is a primary information source and resource hub for our international students. Our goal is to ensure that students have a successful transition to life in the USA and feel supported as they work towards their degrees.

Educational Consultants & Agents

The International Admissions unit actively works with this list of vetted Educational Consultants (contracted agents) who provide an important advisory role for some of our international students during their university search and selection process. We invite contracted, commission-based partnerships with experienced individuals and/or companies who demonstrate a history of high-quality service and ethical work practices in guiding international students in their pursuit for higher education.
